    Pakistan v Maldives 2005-12-11

You can add Imran Niazi to the Pakistan starting lineup. Muhammad Imran also comes on as a substitute.

For the Maldives, Imran Mohamed, Ali Ashfaq, Ahmed Thoriq, Shamveel Qasim, Ali Umar and Mohamed Jameel are all mentioned in this report.

    Maldives v Cambodia 2001-04-01

More a mistake, but staying with Imran Mohamed, this report mentions himself and Mohamed Jameel playing here instead of Aslam Abdul Raheem and Sobah Mohamed.

The 11th Algeria starter here could be Djamel Menad if we believe transfermarkt.

Yes, we believe transfermarkt here. To mention a great local source here we see Menad confirmed. I think that's the kind of missing data which happens when putting matches online and the uploader just forgets something, as the match wasn't set to "partially missing" either. So, good work of yours Ro83rto to spot that one.

    1) Bangladesh vs. Bhutan 2008-06-04

Found a picture of the Bangladesh starting 11

    From the left standing:

    Jahid Hasan Ameli
    Hassan Al-Mamun
    Arif Khan Joy
    Abul Hossain
    Rajani Kanta Barman
    Aminul Haque

    Sitting from the left:

    Kazi Mofazzal Hossain
    Arup Kumar Badiya
    Waly Faisal
    Mehedi Hassan Ujjal
Arman Aziz (Arman Aziz is his correct name)

This video confirms all the squad numbers from the picture are correct. Also from the video i can recognise no.9 at 1:18 minutes as Mamunul Islam (most likely a substitute). This report also confirms that Abdul Baten Komol made his international debut by coming on as a substitute for Mehedi Hassan Ujjal.

    2) Bangladesh vs. Afghanistan 2008-06-06

Bangladesh players that played in the game:
    Aminul Haque
    Ariful Islam
    Hassan Al-Mamun
    Rajani Kanta Barman
    Kazi Mofazzal Hossain
    Waly Faisal
Arif Khan Joy (most likely subbed by no.8 Anamul Hoque can be recognised at 0.55 seconds from this video)
    Abul Hossain
    Mamunul Islam
    Abdul Baten Komol
    Jahid Hasan Ameli

Collected from this article and this video, however, am still not sure about starters and subs.

    3) Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh 2008-06-08

Players that played for Bangladesh (incomplete)

    Biplob Bhattacharjee
    Abul Hossain
    Arup Kumar Badiya
    Ariful Islam
    Mehedi Hassan Ujjal

Collected from this and this article

Also Mamunul Islam and Rajani Kanta Barman probably did play in the match but I cant confirm that

Pakistani players from the 1990s and 1980s missing pics. Loads of players during this era also have their DOB, club info etc missing and inaccurate which I will add here later:

Najibullah (change his name to "Najeeb Ullah Najmi", Najmi as surname, he died on 1 September 2021, source: https://www.thenews.com.pk/print/886617-p…eeb-ullah-najmi)

    Abdul Majeed

Shahzada Arbab (Arbab Kasi is the same player, please merge both. Keep "Shahzada Arbab Kasi" as the main name as he was popularly known by his alias "Shahzada", and state "Shahzada Arbab Muhammad Hayat Kasi" as the full name)

    Zafar Iqbal

    Malik Mateen Akhtar

    Babar Mehmood

    Bashir Ahmad

Pedro Dias (Pakistan national team Brazilian coach)

Haroon Yousaf (what is the current pic on his profile lmao thats not even him, please remove it asap)

Mohamed Noman (Mispelled name, change it to "Mohammad Nauman Khan", Khan as surname)

Junaid Shah has returned to SA Gardens (Pakistan) for the 24/25 season.

Shayak Dost has returned to WAPDA (Pakistan) for the 24/25 season.

Zainul Abideen was with Abu Muslim (Afghanistan) for the 2024 season, before returning to SUI Southern Gas (Pakistan) for the 24/25 season.

Just a minor addition here, Sui Southern Gas club was disbanded around 2021-2022. After that, Zainul Abideen already had moved to KRL Rāwalpindī in 2022-2023 (Source). In 2024 yes, he moved to Abu Muslim (Afghanistan) and now he returned to KRL.

Also Muhammad Waheed who is shown still here as player of Sui Southern Gas, he also moved to KRL Rāwalpindī in 2022-2023 (Source 1 and Source 2).

    1) Nepal vs. Bangladesh 1986-12-04

The five players that have been added in the Bangladesh lineup actually played in the Asian Games match between Bangladesh vs. Nepal held on 1986-09-26 (I think I mixed up the game links in my previous post, so, this is thanks to my mistake, sorry for that).

Also the Nepali goalscorer in the 4 December match was Ganesh Thapa.

    2) The Bangladeshi scorer in this game was Monir Hossain Manu.

    • Muhammad Ejaz (uncreated, not to be confused with Muhammad Ijaz)
    • Ghulam Murtaza (uncreated)
    • Mohammad Arshad
    • Haroon Yousaf (already included in the report)

The starting players can also be confirmed hearing their names from the 26 minute highlights of the match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TdLHYQ6GZ0

    Uncreated players in lineup

    Agha Saeed

Date of birth: 7 October 1962

    Place of birth: Karachi, Pakistan

Club history: Played for Sindh Government Press first and Karāchi ESC, no mention of the years

    Goals scored:

1 goal in Nepal vs. Pakistan 1985-12-25

Scored 2 goals in Pakistan vs. Maldives 1985-12-22

    Sources: here and here

    Shaukat Mufti

Captain of the national team at Iran vs. Pakistan 1986-02-16 and Pakistan vs. Bangladesh 1986-03-15 (Source 1, Source 2, and Source 3)

He also played in Iran vs. Pakistan 1982-02-17 as per this RSSSF source, I noticed all other matches are missing in 1982 for Pakistan in national-teams but the RSSSF source comprehensively covers all the lineups and stats of the matches during that tournament, specially the 1976 and 1982 editions

According to the following pic of a snippet from a newspaper, it is stated Shaukat Mufti "scored the second goal for Pakistan" along with the pic of Agha Saeed when he scored twice against Maldives in 1985. However over here, in a Facebook post from where I got the newspaper pic from it says Shaukat Mufti scored against Bangladesh and Nepal in the same tournament, but no mention of him scoring against Maldives, so I think better to leave his goals scored until we get better sources. Either he did score against Maldives or the newspaper snippet was from the latter bronze medal match against Nepal, stating Agha Saeed scored twice in the earlier match against Maldives. I know, a bit confusing.

Some missing players in 2000 and errors

    Pakistan vs. Kazakhstan 2000-04-08

    • Muhammad Riaz, he is not the same as the one who played in 1991. Create a new database for the 1991 player, whose date of birth is unknown but he was also defender (Source/image of him playing in the 2000 match)

This is the 1991 Muhammad Riaz for comparison and reference, different player

A pic for the older Muhammad Riaz

    Jordan vs. Pakistan 2000-04-06

    • Sarfraz Rasool (Source)

    Palestine vs. Pakistan 2000-04-02

    • Babar Mehmood (Source)
    • Sarfraz Rasool (Source, the player lying on the ground)

Btw do we really not have data on lineups of AFC Asian qualifiers matches held in the 2000s, shouldn't be that obscure to find. All players for Pakistan are missing in all these matches. I can't seem to find the match reports so far, but if someone with more expertise in this can find them would be awesome.

The player pic at this Ghulam Sarwar profile is not him. This is probably going to be a bit headache, but basically three players by the same name have played for Pakistan national team, and coincidentally also for the same club (PIA) which will probably create more confusion so better to make this clear now for future reference. Two of them are also mixed up regarding the matches played so it will be difficult to exactly determine as they played at the same time around the late 1980s.

    1) So the pic which is uploaded on that profile belong to this Ghulam Sarwar. I would put his full name as Ghulam Sarwar "Sasa" in his database if possible to distinguish, as if you search by their labelled nickname on google several articles on them each will come easily. Also he played as starter in Kuwait vs. Pakistan 1988-04-15, instead of the other player by same name in the match report, as evidenced by his post on his social media.

    2) This Ghulam Sarwar, the most notable one and who scored against Iraq is Ghulam Sarwar "Teddy" which I would also put his nickname if possible to distinguish from the other. Here is his wikipedia article for an overview.

    Here a pic for him

    3) And lastly create another profile for Ghulam Sarwar Sr., another former captain and notable player of the 1970s-1980s

    Year of birth: 1954

    Place of birth: Karachi, Pakistan

Date of death: 10 October 2024

    Place of death: Karachi, Pakistan

    Position: Midfielder
