  • mikaelj  bakerrp

You both did an absolutely amazing job regarding the march international matchday, I can't stop thanking you on behalf of the football fans worldwide.

    mikaelj
I really like that you are listing numbers as well. That helps much to track doubtful players, especially when a player is wrong. Also great choice of you to list numbers even if the player can't be identified. The may can be identified later when a photo gallery appears. Occassionally, I found pic galleries for the 2 matches Belize vs Puerto Rico, which I was clicking through to spot entering subs, these are the entering subs I found:

    21st march
    BLZ
    #7 Nahjib Guerra
    #19 Jonard Castillo
    #23 Owen Sosa
    PR
    #4 Rodolfo Sulia
    #9 Adrián Biaggi
    #17 Ian Silva

    24th march
    BLZ
#11 Moises Hernández (for #8 Warren Moss)
    #13 Felix Martinez
    #15 Jardehl Muschamp
    #17 Izon Gill
    PR
    #3 Benjamín Donato
    #6 Juan O’Neill
    #22 Noeh Hernández

These should help to fill your match report.

I also spotted 3 South Sudanese subs in their return leg against São Tomé e Principe:
    #6 Joseph Malish
    #8 William Gama
    #20 Dhata Joseph

To my surprise 2 of these were already set as starters, so double-checking on both starting line-ups I saw that 2024-03-26 South Sudan vs São Tomé e Principe NFT match report was completely fucked up with half of the starters being wrong.
@everybody working on the database: The above info is set correct now, also the line-ups for the match of 2024-03-26 is corrected as seen on the following team pics:

  • 2024 Marianas Cup

Northern Marianas vs Guam 6th april 2024 and 7th april 2024

Same like last year 2023 the Marianas friendlies were played by youth teams. This year explicitely labelled as under-20 competition. I checked both squads and all players were under 20 years old. Not like back in 2022 when they both fielded quite inexperienced youth sides but had at least a few older guys on the field, a bit like an Olympic team which has also over-aged players. So, I understand we count te 2022 matches. Counting the 2024 (but not the 2023) matches seems a bit strange to me. But anyway, the guys who are following me here, know that I am open to list also doubtful/un-official matches (marking them as non-FIFA) and letting the users decide. Especially as Northern Marianas don't have much fixtures. Guam has posted match sheets on their fb page 6th april & 7th april. The Northern Marianas did post pic sets, but no line-ups. I could find their squad list and it was quite the squad of their 2023 Pacific Games participation minus the few older guys being older than 20 years. If you are serious here with counting the 2024 matches as senior internationals I could have a look at the NMI team pics as well, in the meanwhile I leave you the Guam team pics here:

  • The same goes for me. It's difficult to see how this could really be described as a full international; only Levi Buckwalter and Jacob Toves have ever come remotely near to the national team before, unless Sean Halehale turned up to watch his brother play. If one were to count it as a full match, however, EJ Manibusan would probably be the youngest ever international captain at 17 years old.

  • Bahrain v Singapore 2001-02-24

Missing early substitution (25mins), Rashed Rahman Saif Al-Dosari comes on for Abdulaziz Al-Dosari.

    Source: 11v11.

I'm also beginning to question if Rashed Rahman Saif Al-Dosari and Rashid Abdulrahman Saif are the same person, or their stat are at least. The only game they play together is Saudi Arabia v Bahrain 2002-12-17. This could be wrong or the latter may just have the one cap.

Just want to come back to this, as I've finally bothered to look into it. Above information with Singapore still needs editing also.

I confident enough to say that Rashid Abdulrahman Saif's first 5 caps can be moved over to Rashed Rahman Saif Al-Dosari thanks to Soccerway's reports on the 5 world cup qualifiers, which all mention 'Rashed Al Dosari' in the lineup.

Cap's 6 v 7 their both mentioned, but Rashid Abdulrahman Saif doesn't play in either. Cap 6 vs Thailand is a booking error that's needs passing over to Rashed Al Dosari & Cap 7 vs Iraq you correctly have Al Dosari as scoring, but you have Abdulrahman Saif in the starting lineup. Cap 8 vs Saudi Arabia is Abdulrahman Saif's only cap as mentioned previously.

There is also a missing Bahrain match from the same year, also involving Rashed Rahman Saif Al-Dosari, who is named Abdul Rahman Abdulla in the report. Al-Dosari's full name is Rashed Abdul Rahman Abdulla Saif Al-Dosari just to confuse things.

    Chile 2-0 Bahrain 2001-01-15

  • Mali v Ivory Coast 1995-07-23

Bassala Toure and Amadou Pathe Diallo complete the Mali starting lineup.

    Source: 11v11

I would be very wary of adding these names. 11v11 has a hustory of mixing up first names with African sides, choosing the best known player in most cases. Gaoussou Diallo was the player making most appearances at this time, and he is more likely than Amadou who doesn't start appearing in the definitive Mali team lists until 1997. Bassala is the most likely Toure, but without definite evidence I prefer to keep an open mind.

transfermarkt has the same information. Of course it's most likely one copying the other though.
