  • A little bit more on Honduras v Nicaragua. Honduras asked for the game to be played behind closed doors, with no press present, which makes matters difficult for finding out exactly what happened! A little more has slipped through the net of secrecy, however. I have the Nicaragua line-up and a few more Honduras players. Unquestionably, this can really only be described as a training match.

HONDURAS Donis ESCOBAR, Henry FIGUEROA, Johny PALACIOS, Bryan ACOSTA, Rommel QUIOTO, Alberth ELIS

    Goal: Elis

NICARAGUA Diedrich TELLEZ, Óscar LÓPEZ, Erick TELLEZ, Erwin AGUIRRE, Bismarck VELIZ, Marlon LÓPEZ, Maykel MONTIEL, Luis Fernando CORONEL, Bryan GARCÍA, Norlan CUADRA, Norfran LAZO

Regarding Qatar v Thailand there is some evidence in reports that Thailand might have brought on another 6 substitutes late in the match although no names are given. I would assume that, if this did happen, they would have taken off the 6 unsubstituted players from the starting line-up, but which of the two reserve goalkeepers they used is another matter.

  • Thanks Roger about the info in the Honduras vs Nicaragua game.
Thailand only made six substitutions, as far as I know. Siamsport clearly states that only six were allowed. And if they made 6 more, both keepers would have played as they only had 4 outfield players left on the bench.
Haidoos first goal was a penalty, I forgot to add that.

Here are some good news, I wrote to Jorn Andersen, the Norwegian coach of North Korea and got this back

Iraq 0-1 DPR Korea/ 14.08.2016 Goal: Jong Il Kwang 20

    22. Kim Kuk Bom/ 60’ So Kyong Jin

Very nice of him, we need to :germany: to him

  • Definitely one of the good guys. I see that we no longer have two Pak Nam-Chols to worry about, but there are two Kang Kuk-Chols instead. Oh, goody!
I think the Thai problem comes from my poor learning of the language - I was only over there for two and a half years and my Thai is not that good. I think the report probably said that they used the sixth sub and not six subs.

  • I have no idea where the sub times and who subbed who for Puerto Rico has come from.... but they're wrong

Firstly the Puerto Rican FA gives this correct
David Cabán entró por Soto; Andony Burgos por D’Andrea; Ricardo Rivera por Vélez (Juan); Karlos Ferrer por Ramos; Joan Morales por Vélez (Elliot).
sub times are Caban 41mins (injury), Burgos 66, Rivera 67,Ferrer 76 and Morales 88

The sub times are confirmed frpm the game video
