Completeness of rosters

    Hi,

    I have a question for the site administrator or someone knowledgeable about where the rosters on this site come from.

    What is the criteria for deciding which players are a part of the roster for a national team? Do they have to be called up for a specific type of game (ie World Cup Qualifier, continental competition, etc) or is any player who is called up for any game added?

    For the teams with less players on the rosters, is there simply a lack of data available about the complete rosters?

    Well it's not really rosters, we only add players who received a cap in the selected year. Our progress is not the same with all countries because some match reports are extremely difficult to find. If I remember well, our main goal was to be as complete as possible back to 2000, and then if more was available, to add as many years as we can.
