  • These will have to wait - we have all the internationals coming up (or already being played), so many seasons are ending nad I can't really keep up with stuff. Also, the website is naking problems again all the time, so there really is no time for deep historic dives at the moment.

  • Kuwait v Iran 1998-10-13

Just a small one... Are we sure Ahmed Al-Jasem scores here and not Jamal Mubarak? Source: Team Melli

    Iran v Kuwait 1998-04-14

Then we come to this one. No mention of Jamal Mubarak in any lineup, but he is in this clip at 3:43 taking the plaudits for scoring the Kuwaiti goal, which looks more like an own goal. It wasn't Jassem Al-Houwaidi scoring that's for sure. Team Melli defintely wrong on this one! The lineups appear to be shown at 2:02 for those who know the language.

    Kuwait v Thailand 2000-09-30

Much like the two fixtures quoted, I think Jamal Mubarak also scores the 90th minute winner here and not Jassim Al-Houwaidi. KUNA

  • Macau vs Hong Kong

    2000

Domingos Chan was GK for Macau.

Choi Kuok-kun (Macau) was the referee.

Lee Kin-wo (HKG) was given a red card at 81'.

Casemiro Mior (Brazilian, born 12/1/1958 in Porto Alegre, Brazil) was the Hong Kong coach for the match. Most of the Hong Kong team were selected from the South China club, where Casemiro was coaching at the time.

Interestingly, after Lee was sent off, he abused the referee and kicked the ball at him. The referee retaliated by punching Lee, then went on to referee the rest of the match. He was later banned for life by the Macau FA! Footage here.

  • Malaysia Macau 1980. Game was actually played 12th November, reported in New Straits Times 13/11/80.

The Malaysia side was a B selection preparing to play in the King's Cup. Additional names for Macau are Carlos Guerra Alves, Carlos Prieto Nunes and Artur Taborda.

  • Mior was the coach for Hong Kong in this match, not for Macau. Can you amend in the DB?
