Like you noticed, often players get "lost" when being free agents. Reason is we generally don't monitor players closely. The one time we take a look at them is at the end of the season when doing club appearances stats. That's why I personally prefer to keep all the outgoing players with unknown destination in their club squad until they find a new club during that season. And if they don't find a new club, we still can kick them out at the end of the season when doing the club appearances stats. Because if they got a new club during the season, we see this when kicking them out of their former club's squad. But if we have them kicked out already, they are literally free, and we don't have them on our monitor. So, that applies for all leagues we have stats, like Sweden. For countries without stats like South Sudan it best to kick them out as soon as they leave. -
